New visual language for Experian's product

Establishing the Visual Experience

I was asked to set up a new discipline within Experian's product design organization called, Visual Experience or VizX, with the goal to unify and modernize the look of the product across mobile and desktop. The initiative centered on building a cohesive, expressive visual language that elevated the product's credibility, accessibility, and emotional resonance with a younger, digitally-native audience. Experian's product UI reflected an outdated visual identity. It was inconsistent, overly utilitarian, and misaligned with the brand's evolving direction. There was no centralized system for illustration, motion, or premium design, creating fragmentation across the experience and limiting the product's ability to communicate with clarity and personality.
